Caught another big bass last night! Dinner sorted for tonight. Amazing on the beach, perfect clear skies and a slight offshore wind. Lot's of meteor's too.

Low of 14.9°C. 29°C before 11am.

Temperature is on a runaway already, but seeing some mid level cloud skirt by. Hit 30.1C already and still climbing. Mapantz is not far behind me by the look of it @ 29.7C so he will soon be in the 30C zone today.

It was doing nicely and hit 29.2c at 11am but since then sun is hiding now and again behind a little cloud and temp dropped to 28.4c.
Very light 0-2mph NNE wind today, compared to some of the 8-14 mph breezier spells of last week.
Humidity 43% and 1024.9 hPa

Another warm night with a low of 17.7c at 5am after being 22.1c at midnight.
Yesterday max was 29.9 around 3pm.

The cloud has certainly dropped things back a degree or so at the moment.

Interesting outlook this week as ex tropical storm Chris doesn't seem to be able to generate a huge change, but a change is in the offing that's for sure. Rain, hmm on that I'm not so sure..

30.5°C reached, but a ton of cloud has moved in. I don't remember that in the forecast.

Cloud has now moved on and temp risen fast and hit 30.4c at 1pm (1c less than my yearly record), its now 30c.
Sure did take a drop of temp while that cloud was hovering.

Maxed out at 32.2C about an hour ago! Hottest day of the year, pipping June 26th. Certainly feels it too, but still relatively pleasant heat.

Didn't make the warmest day of the year here, cloud spoiled it. Sunny spells at the moment.

It's actually been warmer in Swanage than here, which is unusual.

Just a reminder in this heat,if you have a bird feeding station please remember to keep the bird bath filled with water, this weather is starting to exact a toll on our feathered friends.

Yup, I have to keep topping up the water bowl AND the food as there's little of either around at the moment..Not only them I keep refreshing the water bowls for the dogs as warm water cannot be nice to drink in these conditions, whereas cold water is palatable for them...

Currently 32.8°C here, Yeovilton is on 29.9 for an hour ago.

Yes, bird watering bowls replenished at least twice a day, they are simply evaporating in the heat.  There's a happy Blackbird singing this afternoon too, must have finished moulting and now happily free again!

Nudged above 32c here too and still above 31c now! Still not humid though so although very hot it isn't unpleasant.

That's now 13 out of 14 days above 28c!

Easily the hottest day of the year here at 31.8C beating last Mondays 30.2 with ease. Surprised with comments that the heat today is still pleasant, as for me it has been very uncomfortable, and with a bedroom currently at 32C its going to be a difficult one for sleep.

Reached 27.4°C early this afternoon but with the sea breeze most of the afternoon was around 25°C. Hasn’t really dropped much this evening since the breeze has dropped, still 24.6°C.

Driving across Salisbury Plain this afternoon from Midsomer Norton to SW London, a persistent plume of smoke was visible north of between Chitterne and Shrewton; not sure if it was a wildfire, couldn't see any emergency responders.

Last night in Sandbanks proved impossible for sleeping, despite a lovely cool breeze along the beach and watching the chain ferry. This morning felt very hot indeed despite some gathering clouds overhead. From Sandbanks to my mother's in Midsomer Norton temperatures on the car thermometer ranged from 28-31 degrees.

Yes I was in Purbeck yesterday and it was indeed difficult sleeping conditions! Also saw remains of a large wildfire by Corfe Castle. Great warm waters at Studland Beach though!
