Already very warm in the abundant sunshine this morning. Likely to be the last really warm day for at least a 7-10days. Make the most of it - ugh stuck in the office.

Well I'd never have taken today as looking better than the weekend but it most certainly is and brushing 25C.

24.8°C here now making it the third  warmest day of the year so far. Don’t think it’ll get to the second warmest but still a very nice day.

Scorchio here today, clear blue sky, pleasant breeze and really rather lovely!  Touching 26.1°C here a little while ago.

Warmest place in the country at the moment, clearly with the air passing over the new forecast and then descending downhill its drying out RH on 32% with 26/08C lowest DP in yonks.

As usual I fall behind @Mapantz and @Dorsetbred but still reached 25.3°C here so on this occasion I’m not complaining.

Edit: don't know why that has sent twice....

Official max at Hurn 26.6c comfortably the warmest place in the country a whole 1.2c ahead of Heathrow. Second warmest day of the year and likely to unfortunately remain so for a good week!

Met office are predicting three month heatwave and temperatures up to 33 degrees and Britain could beheading for the hottest summer in 12 years in late June into August and I am going to wait and see if this happens

Met Office aren't predicting anything, all they've said is there's a chance of a higher than average summer. As usual the papers make that out to be whatever they want rather than what the Met Office have actually said.

You have to say it correctly like the papers do:

”Britain set to bask in a RECORD-BREAKING THREE MONTH HEAT NIGHTMARE the met office say. Their supercomputers have PROVED we will see APOCALYPTIC HEATWAVES as hot weather sweeps the country MELTING HOSPITALS and probably causing the ELDERLY to EXPLODE...

and...

...THE EARTH WILL BE DESTROYED!

I was anticipating a cooler and cloudier day but not drizzle and below 15c approaching midday!

It was beautiful until about 08.00 .
