Might be worth keeping an eye on the cloud development in NW France around the Brest Peninsula and Cherbourg. Could potentially turn into something interesting later today.

Feels warmer than yesterday and apparently it’s cooler than yesterday here in Weymouth. That dew point and humidity rate is really doing things

Min the last hour or so the humidity seems to have dropped and a fresh breeze has picked up. Still feels warm but cooler than it did.

Yeah. Yesterday was what I would consider 'rough' in terms of wind. There's hardly a breeze today. It still feels humid, but not quite as bad as yesterday. Temp 23°C and dew point 16.5°C (67% RH)

Gone black up here, a few heavy drops but nothing else, shows some instability about but I think the main risk is further  north, I think tomorrow will be our day again

Its from a reletively tiny area of precip. on radar. lots of potential for home-grown storms this afternoon.

So, there is very heavy showers in Birmingham, light ones beginning to appear in Somerset and some heavier ones off the coast off North Cornwall. Showers will probably become more widespread in the next 1-2 hrs.

5.3 hours of sunshine so far today. I need 1.2 hours more to take me over the Met Office average of 219 hours for May.

Well that’s probably more or less guaranteed.

Seems near the coast is best for clear skies at the moment although here at least the sea breeze is back today after being absent for a few days.

Can’t see us in Southern England seeing much if any action this evening/night, feeling fresher than yesterday. The Midlands turn today with the Met just having an Amber warning in this part of the UK.

Maybe a better chance tomorrow.

After the torrential rain this morning, it's been a glorious afternoon, everything's dried out well, including the washing!  I think I shall go and mow the grass, that will, hopefully, ensure a dry day tomorrow for Sherborne Castle Country Fair!
