Showers in the channel,  the high levels of mid-level instabilty should develop these quickly.........

Thunder here for past 10 minutes  only seen a couple of flashes of lightning

Extremely rapid development Salisbury-Amesbury-Andover, lots of strikes on ligtningmaps but only tiny echoes on the radar that's 7 minutes old! Hearing thunder from the SW and SE of Warminster now I am home.

Currently in the middle of home grown thorm, appeared out of nowhere about half an hour ago and intensified rapidly. Another small cell heading this way, but then a break?

Hearing rumbling from the cells south of me, amazing how quick it all kicked off

A brief downpour with huge drops and a few close flashes/rumbles but it seems to be intensifying as it heads away, very messy sky too with low cloud so hard to make out the elevated storm cloud. I would expect this to be quite a storm system as it heads towards Bath/Bristol and further West.

Even estofex don't have an issue with that coming here. No severe but SB storms can often have louder thunder. People will argue with that but I find its true.

Raining in Trowbridge, continuous thunder, couple of flashes.....storms a coming.

Heard a rumble of thunder about 10 minutes ago, no storms that close on the radar when I checked.

Can hear a few rumbles from that cell that has popped up to the south west of Salcombe. Rapid development, 15min ago there was barely any rain on the radar!
