Will probably sit it out with the veg. lol. Lovely open landscape where they are growing.

I would love to be able to stay at home and watch storms, but it's quite built up where I am! Luckily I'm not far from the coast, so only a short drive from some lovely open views.

Problem is, all my lightning photos have the same landscape lol

I think I need to be a bit more adventurous.

I'm usually too enamoured to think of taking photos. Better for me if I catch a video of the storm. Built up locations are not always bad for photography, just need to get lucky and have a relatively overhead storm, the lightning contrasting with buildings often makes for dramatic pictures.

another pants day so far....cool, overcast, dark & drizzly....I haven't seen the sun for 3 days and yet there are still some in the model thread banging on about this wonderful summery spell we're having.....lol

fingers crossed the clearance reaches here soon, as weekend outdoor plans are rapidly going out of the window #britishsummer

The view I have out back is great. The valley that Bath is in with houses on the other side but still very open so I can see the sky easily!

I put up a gazebo (well anchored) so I can make a cuppa and stay outside.. but out of the rain so much. And don't worry, the car (Faraday cage) will be right there if things get hairy. Looking forward to it.

I totally agree, the problem I have is that when you get a tripod and camera out in a built up area, everybody becomes a storm fanatic and stats asking the same old questions lol

Plus I had a close call with some drunken youths, so I tend to avoid built up/busy places for that reason, I've asked friends if they want to tag along, but they think I a bit mad

Anyway good luck to everyone today if storms are your thing!

And if anyone is in the Bournemouth Christchurch area,  and wants to meet up feel free to message me, would be good to share a storm with like minded people

Lovely blue skies this morning, 22.7c

Met office forecast has us down for a few showers at midnight, not a lightning icon in sight.
Beeb forecast has us down for rain from 2pm for about 24 hours with most hours showing lightning.

Still a perfectly boring sheet of white cloud here in Wiltshire, perhaps you coast huggers could send a little of your blue sky up our way.....please.

I just got a 27° reading from the van thermometer sensor

I noticed the South Coast - Bournemouth - reporting 25C on Xcweather a couple of hours ago. I'm sure there will be spots with higher temps. Summer is upon us.

.. bit of cloud moving in here now. Storms have fired in Nantes, France, and near Brest and the rain is making its way into Cornwall on forecast radar. ...
