Looks like strikes edging further  into the New Forest area on the lightning map. starting to get windy now and very dark clouds looking east/north east

A right old dumping from that storm here. Tons of rumbles and cracks. Not a light storm for sure. Looks like it's lessened a bit now maybe though. Saw lightning too. Was just crossing the road from school run when the first loud rumble went and scared my kids to death :-D

This is just as exciting as watching the snow dig into my area on the radar back in March. :)

Thought I'd had a rumble for a moment, raced to the window and turned out it was a Royal Mail truck passing by at speed. Lovely

Latest lightning strike map, just started raining here Newport IOW.  Hopefully a few thunderstorms will come this way.

In many ways the set up is similar to the convective snow shower days we had in late February and mid March, except it's 20c+ warmer lol.

A lot of thunder here despite not showing on lightening maps, just took dogs for a walk in the sunshine and could hear the rumbles very clearly, seems a big storm to the NE of here although no lightening seen and no rain (yet!!!) Just waiting for a gust front and then we maybe in business!!

Your lucky we've had 33 spots of rain, and that's it so far, BUT the radar shows interest...

Matt you gonna get nailed with that cell that came up north of Southampton it's on it's way down..

One brief rain shower here about an hour ago, now the showers are making a circle around us!  Temperature still 23°C and not enough rain in the gauge to measure.  Nice fresh, earthy smell out there too.

That giant cloud that was coming over an 1 hour gave nothing! New showers coming, praying these don't miss us by a mile too! :(

Have lightening and thunder, a fair bit (lightening maps doesn't show it, it shows a couple but had a lot more) huge rain drops but seem to be on the edge of it, as rain is very sporadic in nature.

Same story here, a beast of a cell went south of me by about 15 miles. ;/
