I find an ironic observation that people who don't receive severe weather in their very own back yard are the ones who complain about unwarranted met office warnings...... The met office amber wa

Cap has gone. More thunder - it sounds angry. Huge cloud formed right next to me now.

It's great to see and read all these reports but it really would be helpful if everyone could put their location in their profile, or better still a location of where they are actually posting from at the time.

Posts saying it's doing this or that 'here' are pretty meaningless if we don't know where 'here' is !!

As you can see the showers popping near Southampton have nothing to sustain them, to maturity its taking about 15minutes then they die a rapid death.

I have been watching them, too. I wounder if those two will combine?

Apart from the Worthing development around 1300 today most of these cells have been weaker than recent days.

A vital ingredient lacking somewhere, certainly at this stage.

My eyes turn to the French coast

A light show as dusk comes maybe the best bet here now, can't see them surviving a channel track, if indeed they even try it.

Well a possible bit of interest for me Friday and Saturday and the rest of eastern areas of the UK. The make or break for is where the convergence zone lies if indeed there is one of those days. Worth keeping an eye on as we all these setup change daily.

Will it or won’t it. Looking at the radar it keeps breaking up only to intensify again shortly afterwards.

Towers rocketing up here. One to my west towards London, one just to my south and more robust to my NE. Will any go the distance though??

I'm currently sat at Whitefield moor in the new forest, and I've just heard thunder from the very same cell!

    It does look messy though.

I am disappointed that is cloudy with a bit of sun and here and there but no thunder or lightning because it's not clear and sun and blue skies in Warminster in Wiltshire and I was hoping for a thunderstorm after work I work at Morrisons form 3 to 5 pm
