I've just been watching it flicker away on the horizon and I'm in Poole, that's one highly charged storm.

Not seeing so much now. Think some lower level cloud has got in the way annoyingly.

That storm isn't moving South. Running the animation through, it just looks like new updrafts being produced in different places. They are strong updrafts too!

Yup I can see the anvil and the lightning from the MK storm from here in Southampton. Incredible.

Currently watching the lightning from the storm over Gt Missenden where I used to live from 80 miles away and my son driving down the A303 rang to say he could see it in his rear view mirror and he is at least 120 miles away.

The storm is back building quicker than it is moving north

I didn't think it was. What's that stuff in ketting that looks like it's intensifying.

It look's like it is dissipating on the 22:10 radar update.

As I look out I have clear skies above me, I can see the Moon and another planet all above a storm with frequent lightning about 60 miles away!

We were watching that same storm from Bexleyheath.  I've never seen a storm from a distant cloud structure like that with clear skies directly above us.  Just a shame it wasn't moving towards us!

I've been in an ideal position to see the backbuilding on the cell and the structure and speed of development has really been impressive.

Though I'm still taking photos the lightning has all but stopped in the last five minutes. Almost like someone has turned off a switch.

Affirm. I can see it from about 30 miles away. The lightning has definitely “slowed”.

Jeez its just the weather mate, you win some you lose some...

Indeed you do,  but with thunder storms and North West England  you never win some , it always loose,  never mind , it all went  as I predicted a pat on the back for me

BBC said thunderstorms, for this area,  I said ..not a chance , because  that how it pans out 99 % of the time , its just experience.

maybe this should be moved to the NO STORMS CLUB🤐 🙂

Looks to be heading North West, parts of the Midlands could be in for something if it continues to intensify... though then again it could possibly just be normal rain

Tornado (or similar) reported near Aylesbury - a friend of mine said she drove through it, things flying everywhere, roof ripped off Morrisons truck.

Well I’m in Aylesbury and I’ve seen no sign of a tornado it’s just been frequent lightning and torrential rain ☔️

Yeah it’s like I’m trying to video it all and just so many strikes it’s amazing it really looked like we were gonna miss it and it would just stay over Northampton.
