I guess you're calling it a bust.

I don't know, it's barley moving but getting more intense. Couple of hours I'm going to say.

Temperature shot right up and super humid. Not sure if that is sign of things to come.

Just got horribly, horribly muggy here. Cloud is starting to build very fast to my south/east.

Since that cell over Chester passed, it’s gone unbelievably muggy here... A lot of grey crud as well... I hope this clears soon so that hopefully the main event can start this evening. ?️

... Also, that storm over the Midlands looks really quiet juicy! Fingers crossed that it keeps its power, and also keeps heading towards the north west. ?️⛈️

That's an amazing picture. The main home grown cell out of Belgium  spawning much smaller cells in an acute alignment towards Blighty. Just wondering whether the easterly wind sheer is causing this alignment. Maybe the storms a bit further north this evening Will be interesting if they continue to develop or disperse with evening cooling. Really narrow band of convectivety.

Wow, all off that has made a perfect arch around me. Not a drop of rain

Same here , few initial drops when it first kicked off and then nothing .

Near continuous distant rumbling now .

Wondering which side of the west mids that cell over Leamington will run up

Got a clear area of sky to the south giving some nice views of the Midland storm, a shame it's not a little later in the evening as this would be like a disco strobe-light currently.

South and west weather forecast Monday:

After a cloudy start it will soon brighten up to give some sunny spells. However, we may see isolated thunderstorms breaking out during the afternoon. Very warm and humid. Maximum temperature 26 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Tuesday will start fine and dry, with some warm sunshine, but with the chance of thunderstorms later and into Wednesday. Sunny spells and scattered thundery showers on Thursday. Staying warm. And to night is going be another humid night in south and west

I am not sure. Sometimes they just explode , like last night or wimply fade away. You will know in the next few hours or so.

After dodging showers all day in burminghan,  I've now returned to Northampton near Daventry where the line of storms us forming directly overhead . No rain, surrounding views suggest it's all going back up after falling halfway. Constant thunder from several directions
