Sferics NE of Chelmsford but 15 miles down the road where I am, there’s still nothing.

Hello Thunderstruck.

Nothing happening in Chelmsford. Had some brightness about 30 minutes ago and it became really very warm and humid but we are back in the grey drabness again now.

Kind Regards

Dave

Thunder heard here, seemed to the South East of here, raining steadily after an initial heavy burst, bright sunshine to rain in about 10 minutes, was also evidence of towers going up North of here before the cloud cover cut off any further sight of them

I'm not so sure, looks more like it's using energy available on land to keep, it's self going, wouldn't surprise me if it appears to move west once it hits the north coast.

I ment east which is what it's doing as well lol.

Signs of something developing between Oxford, MK and Peterborough. A few discreet cells popping up now.

A messy evening is right!

I am just north of Gloucester with dark skies to the South East. Oh and some raindrops now too. No TL yet though.

Actually, the 2 big massive CBs over London and Aylesbury this week were both home grown and didn't cross the channel, that's what I was referring to, they both had over shooting tops I think well the Aylesbury one did I'm pretty sure I read somewhere

Your correct because I was in that thunderstorm I live in Aylesbury it was crazy and it was home grown.

Slight thunder and strong gust of wind just occurred. Nothing showing up on radar though?

I think a lot of the clag is surpressing the ability of lightning to get going.

The clouds are heading towards Lincolnshire from Peterborough, so you do have hope?

There is some cells trying to initiate up here but they are struggling to get going and are decaying pretty quickly. Not looking promising for North Wales or NW England until later when some of the cells from further south move up here or when something manages to get going. Although i suspect those further north  i.e Lincolnshire,NW England,N Wales,Yorkshire etc. will get their chance tomorrow anyway.
