Done everything in my power to get some rain - cut the grass, cleaned 3 vehicles, done some gardening and a bit of washing. Can't do more....

Some blue sky beginning to appear in Southampton, woohooo!!!

Just need the sun to come out for a little bit and fire the temperatures up but we still have more crud to arrive from the IOW.

Blimey.  I'm in line with that band of showers heading up from Reading and it's almost swerved to bypass me!Showers to the north South and West of me and avoiding me. Pretty sure I've heard thunder too

Certainly looks like a clear line of potent showers are forming in a line from Brighton to North Bristol. Anything to the South of that looks to be claggy rain.

Showing on the Netweather Radar.

Starting to take shape, looks like Brighton through to Reading and then Oxford are the sweet spots at the moment.

Strangely it's quite pleasant only 30 miles East of Reading, plenty of sun and a nice breeze!

That French storm is right moving against flow, possible supercell. Looking like tracking up the French coast as doesn't want to dip its toes into the Channel.

I'm not so sure, looks more like it's using energy available on land to keep, it's self going, wouldn't surprise me if it appears to move west once it hits the north coast.

Such fine margins.

Just 13 miles west of brighton the sun has not been out all day!...a couple of bright spells here and there!

Watching on the Net Weather Extra radar as downpours develop west, northwest, north, northeast and east of me, while I'm stuck with a bit of light rain .

p.s. anyone else using NW Extra finding they're having to log back in every half hour and sometimes even less than that? Usually it allows longer between automatic log-outs.
