Oh well, storm risk has disappeared for my area over the next 48 hours. Could have forecasted that myself...

What a letdown last night was!

Got some pretty big claps and bright flashes last night outside Huntington, considering myself lucky,  lasted 1 or 2 hours quite happy I even got some. Disappointing they didn't track further west as presumed more luck tomorrow guys!

Looks like today is a break day for everyone before back in action tomorrow.

So true, tomorrow is looking rather intense

ties in pretty much with the forecasts Pete, i.e isolated storms that weakened during the period.....of course, one or two got lucky but the vast majority didn't....no organised storms whatsoever despite what you might have been led to believe reading some posts,,,,,what we're left with is just a band of patchy rain, heavy in places but nothing of any real note

Yup! Based on how excited some people were getting in the early hours this morning with a handful of elevated sferics i’m a little worried we may need an ambulance on standby tomo

What is the storm forecast for tomorrow then, have there been any official charts released yet?

Sadly no storm forecast I can see as yet - though there is a little bit of early detail available on UKWW convective chat:

I hope more of Wales is in the firing line next two days as we’ve been pretty storm starved so far

Missed it and jumped all the pages this morning, far to many to read, after the event. Was at pool match last night, then went to bed.

It’s actually good to have a night off worrying about watching nighttime storms after the week we’ve had - though I was up til 12:30am trying to do my work expenses and then overslept a bit this morning

Not particularly exciting in the end then? aj summed it up well.  Mostly dynamic rainfall, with some convective elements which led to a smattering of lightning around the wash/Lincolnshire area.

Quite a lot of  model divergence re tomorrow's risk. Birmingham could be a good spot later int he afternoon.
