If we get a storm it would be the first storm from the east north east for about forty years.

Yup and oh my it's gone really dark now. Been hearing thunder pretty much constant for about 5-10 mins now

I think I did ok in predicting where it would be and how it would develop..

Going to miss us slipping past to the south east of us. May hit east south eastern Sheffield.

Could Belper be about to get a storm? Well the current storms are on track to hit here but my experience tells me it probably won't last this far west. However, this week has been unpredictable so who knows :)

After this main band of thundery rain has moved to the west of England and Wales that will be pretty much it but an isolated thunderstorm can’t be ruled out for central and eastern parts but tomorrow definitely looking better.

People in Nottingham and derby for example should keep an eye on that intense cluster of thunderstorms over the next hour.
