Flash flooding taking place here now. This could get bad if it doesn’t ease soon. Couple of bright CGs seen too.

I’m in London Bridge and it appears to be coming right this way! :yahoo:

I'm just down the river from you at London Southbank.  Fingers crossed it continues in this direction...

Looks like it’s backbulding out into the North Sea.

Some really heavy rain here no but no sign of any lightning yet, the SE looks like as though its getting a bit of a battering

Looks like the mass of rain near Southampton is losing its organisation and becoming a wet mess! More Sfercis being reported from it

I'm having a day out at Chessington today.  Been glancing at the radar between rides.

I can't work out if the storm over North Kent is heading towards me or moving more NW towards London and Watford etc.

Sounds absolutely beautiful. Heavy rain, occasional rumble. This is the kind of stuff those relaxing thunderstorm videos are made of.

Storm just a few miles away now.

Heavy blanket of apparently ‘broken’ cloud here (Exeter) according to the METAR. Definitely OVC.

Doubt will get much GA later on as the embedded CB’s pop up above the blanket.

Very interesting to see the Met Office Ammended their low level forecast! Haven’t seen seen that happen in a while!

And a nice chill temp to boot

No sooner had I written the previous post, that the dark to the south has passed, and it's brighter all round again.

Granada Reports weather saying the NW might be seeing thunderstorms from 5am until 5pm tomorrow, can't see where they've got this forecast from as the models are quiet for the north up until Friday.

Still going on with torrential rain and frequent lightning. Been a good hour and a half with still a bit more on the way.

I'm glad I decided to work from home today... that's all I'm saying...

Some grumbles of thunder audible amongst this epic downpour.
