That’s the left side the part of rain on the right is what will probably push into Kent then other parts of southern England probably it’s northern limit being south midlands.

Only time will tell....

That's interesting.

I expect the blob of rain south east of Kent to maintain some of its intensity and push into the south east and London also upto the south midlands southern east anglia southward.

Now that I look at it, I do see some rotation!

I think it’s because of different steering winds one from southeast to northwest and another from north east to southwest/west as the low over the continent tries to push into the high pressure sat over northern parts.

Now, to figure out if that's a good or bad thing. I have a feeling it's a good thing.

So it's like a battle ground. Low pressure for the win.

The track of the rain I’ve shown I think will be pretty accurate but we shall see

Again, over the coming hours it will become clearly evident what path it will take and how intense it will be. Now, we wait!

Yup but I think I'm going to go to bed now. I keep dozing off. I'll be very surprised if I wake up and it's raining. I highly doubt it will be though.

It's looking juicy again. Might hold off and watch for a bit longer.

Told ya shouldn’t lose it’s intensity for a little while

I'm off to bed in a bit, hopefully it doesn't fall appart over the channel!

There’s nothing better than the weather doing a handbrake turn over France

There absolutely is when it’s just brining rain, a damp cool day likely today!

Friday and Saturday still interesting although the convergence line looks too far east for me but should deliver down the eastern side of the UK. Suspect it will be again so close but to far once again for me.

@Evening thunder that might well be the Carmarthen cell, which is dissipating now... New cell going up near Camelford so there is hope in your part of the world.

You were right, and I could see the cells that formed near Swansea later, they looked quite good.

I went on a little chase yesterday, got under a small torrential shower, then afterwards stopped and heard 3 rumbles from a new cell near Launceston. Apart from that not a lot. Convection seemed to struggle and any cells were unimpressive looking and fell apart quickly. Ah well.

I'm not confident about today for me unless anything elevated can happen.
The Met Office keep mentioning the risk thunderstorms/thundery showers every day though even if it looks less likely here. A few years ago they seemed reluctant to use the word 'thunderstorm', now if anything it's the opposite.

Apart from the extreme south east today is a messy day with too much cloud, clag and debris left over from the French storms last night!!
