Incredible scenes.

Yes. Here we are in 2018 and people still film in portrait mode. It ought to be banned!

Bit of a Cu field here. Would expect to see some towers in the next 30 mins to an hour. My phone app however has changed its mind from 50-70% if thunder from 4pm to staying dry.

Well the likelyhood of storms elsewhere and here becoming unlikely as further sea breezes rarely kick in after 3-4pm.

There's seems to be a little be of AC here now. It's caught me off guard because I wasn't expecting any instability clouds to form.

Must be getting on for 35°C there, now?

Noticing on sat24 that the Brighton/Bognor storm's anvil has now drifted up into western London. FL370 was the forecast height of these storms today I was reading earlier on.

Can see those turkey towers from moors valley! You got any hint of a sea breeze or still offshore?

Hmm.. I feel that low cloud inland is causing the surface NE flow to not quite be as warm as it could be for Dorset into east Devon (or highest temps more limited to near the coast here), limiting potential.

Looks that way on satellite image and observations, hope I'm wrong though. Saw a very distant small tower turn into an anvil to the NNW, and larger cu to the west and distant NW ( the latter from convergence nearer the north coast of Devon probably)

I might drift west as think it may happen there before here anyway, if anything does happen here. bit of a risk though.

Some weak convection trying to get going around here now. Still don’t think it will amount to anything but good to see.

Can see this to the east and a lot more cloud overhead now than an hour ago.

@Evening thunder that might well be the Carmarthen cell, which is dissipating now... New cell going up near Camelford so there is hope in your part of the world.
