Nice summary @Flash bang flash bang etc

This is what your storms looked like from the Kent coast, about 80-90 miles away. I agree, it was a picker textbook looking thunderstorm. Also, echo your observation re the overshooting top.

From my location I could see very frequent IC forks and flashes.

24.4°C here with unbroken sunshine. It’s not just the south coast which is warming up.

That's true, it's 25.5 here and feeling very humid.

If you are quoting someone who has made a long post then please either delete the contents of the quote or use the @ function by just typing the @ sign and then the name of the poster. Makes it easier when viewing on a phone. Cheers

Ironically saturday night's storms where the closest storms got to us. I could see distant flashes from behind the tree line.

We have lift off along the south coast, cumulus field has begin to develop as a result of a convergence zone setting up.

As the first of showers have formed over Brighton, I expect any areas eastwards will miss out now as the risk transfers westwards throughout the day.

Got a decent storm risk for here later when this morning there was 0%. Makes the day a bit more interesting.

If you are in Retford your temperature reading is so inaccurate it’s almost not worth having! You are 5-7c above other stations around you.

Not fancying my chances for today. Way more cloud around than I expected which will be affecting surface heating. Also not as humid as I was expecting. It just doesn’t feel right today. Hope I’m wrong.

Good luck to everyone else though :)
