3 hour accumulative rainfall;

A few independent stations under that training area have received in excess of 40mm so far today.

I keep getting worried that today will be a bust but hoping for some look that this lot will turn into something similar to what Birmingham is getting right now

It’s lovely sitting out in the garden right now in the sun watching that anvil far away over London change shape quite literally by the second. I’d post a photo but it’s too far away to be seen clearly.

man chesterfield always misses out. im trying to stay hopeful that the situation in east anglia/lincoln will explode into life but we will see

I am did get to see some thunderStroms last but not over my head yet  and I am really disappointed is weather in the South West today and I'm hoping South West gets thunderstorms tomorrow or on Tuesday or Wednesday.☹️

I'm watching the same anvil. Since I took a photo of it 5 minutes ago it's doubled in size, and another CB has formed right behind it. Lots of convection getting going to the north; nothing south of me.

Lightning picked up over East London now. I’m only about 25 miles away and the weather here couldn’t be more different!
