I am not sure. Sometimes they just explode , like last night or wimply fade away. You will know in the next few hours or so.

Ok, I guess we wait and see. Hoping for the best. Looks like it's barley moving though.

Does sort of look like its spreading out a little, though must say on the radar it looks very impressive, not sure if I've seen anything like this before. It just needs that nudge

Totally expecting nothing here , as usuall in the storm starved main part of the north west,

no way those storms in the midlands will get up to this part , they will fizzle to drizzle , or just move into north wales , history tends to repeat

I am using reverse psychology   . but deep down I know no thunderstorm for here, my only way is to drive down the M6 now , and intercept , but thats not possible atm

That line looks like it's starting to intensify and curve.

Looks a bit like a wave. I get this feeling its going to explode somewhere soon

Yes tomorrow evening looks very interesting for us in the South, I've had two distant storms so far this BH weekend, maybe third time lucky?

Also interesting to note some lightning starting to appear in the channel and groups of heavy showers quickly popping up over Northern France so perhaps a surprise in store this evening.

It'd be so cool if those storms just suddenly changed direction and went north east and caught everyone by surprise.

Hoping the ones away to my NW will do a bit of back building and come to Oxford for round two, last night was too fast and quiet, although the flashes were amazing.

Am well South of the large collection of anvils that must be the Rugby cells/line and I must say it looks very impressive in the sunlight, cells going up very quickly indeed, very spectacular, shame it wasn't at night

At the moment a line just north of London heading nw into the W midlands begins to develop  - some weak showers early this afternoon blossomed into significantly storms as they headed nw. No reason to believe that this won’t happen again this evening. Not sure what will happen south of this as cloud amounts/height currently not notable.

Our storms really do pale into insignificance compared to some of the monster over the channel in France! I’m just jealous lol

My best bet to ensure storms is to lay out two entire Jacob's fleeces on the patio in order to sort carefully into white and brown piles in the sunshine. This is what I will do now
