Looking really good over in the east Midlands now. A lot of instability in the air. Just waiting for it to go bang.

I don't think so but I do remember an earthquake a few years ago though. Only a small one. I remember a guy died because something fell on him.

Was it an extremely hot thermometer?

Edit: and because someone died

Atmosphere fully capped here in Kent. Will do the Home Counties/Midlands a lot of favours I’m sure.

Hoping we might get a detonation later or failing that a flirtatious import

Looking at a few charts etc, and just my own opinion I have drawn a little guesstimate of where things may fire up and direction. if course could be 50 or so miles north or south.

What we all recon?

Peter.

CB beginning to develop around the Stoke-on-Trent area, towering up above the AcCas field looking at it from here.

It was a night, I remember it waking me up. I think it was in the summer.

The film ‘Casino’ always reminds me of an earthquake in the U.K.

I was watching the film and I was sat in the armchair and it gently wobbled. Also the house did a little groan. It was really eerie

I have a developing storm to my north east. It's beginning to really darken over there. There's some good towers over there.

I'd say a little further north looking at the radar.

Would love to see a storm like what Newark On Trent had the other year where it started off small but then suddenly exploded out from no where hoping for scenes like that today

Not the best picture with the trees in the way but can just about see this to the north. Blue skies in all other directions.

Some showers seem to be forming across some parts of SW & C/S England on radar. Most likely these will remain isolated in this area, but could chuck out a couple of surprise thundery showers as the afternoon progresses.
