Never ever seen so much lightning per second this has been brilliant the last hour. Best ever in my life.

Has anyone else noticed how poor the Netweather lightning detector performs when storms are elevated, barely showing any activity compared to Blitzortung

Interesting to note, the majority of lightning activity is outside of convective weather's MDT zone. It shows how poorly modelled this was.

It is, nearly on par with what we had last month which was incredible in itself.

Looks great from afar but I think with the westerly component I'm a tad too far north. Enjoying the vids though. Just faint distant thunder and a bit of light rain here.

Increible scenes here in Hither Green.

Incesent lightning and constant thunder...without a pause! Rainfall biblical.

Man that wasa  fun storm, Lightning was very frequent including one close Posi strike which sounded like a 100 cannons go off at once! Rain was torrential and the Lightning continued. 2nd storm passed just to my North which had some mad cloud to cloud Lightning and a beaut of a multistrike! They both passed through pretty quick but im confident we could definitely see a 2nd wave in the next few hours :)

Beginning to wonder if the storm just moving into the north west of London will have enough juice to make it all the way to me in Worcester tonight.... Fingers, toes and eyes all crossed.

Like a scene from the blitz.

Elevated for sure but spectacular without the feeling you are about to be struck!

All seems very exciting in many places! Plenty of lightning here but sadly the 250mm/hr zone of rain missed by 5 miles. My new turf really needed it after the scorcher today.

Was wondering if I might see the edge of it down here in Stroud near Glos! You never know..

Fingers crossed, think we might be in for a shout around 2am, if it makes it all the way across here then position looks a little to the south of Worcester.

Ok just for you here’s another one. :hi:

Seems to be moving away now. Gone quiet after about a minute of heavy rain.
