If only this weather could hang on for another two months, we'd escape the misery provided by endless days of cold, mizzly, mouldy, autumnal murk...If it's nae cold enough to snow, it may as well stay warm?

How can hate dew? Its one of the most important parts of a eco system! And one of the most beautiful!

dew creates allergy risk, like rain, mid Jun to Early Sept, the warmer and drier the better

No it doesn't! it suppresses it! Allergy risks are far higher in summer due to the increase in floral activity and assassinated wildlife. What allergies are increased by due?

no i have not retired... im semi retired. i still work. dew is very pretty to look at but still makes everything a mess. a mess to mow, a mess to walk on, and aids fungal growth .......

..... and fungal spores ARE an allergy to some.

funny how all summer youve tried to guilt trip and moan about the heat 'because it causes hayfever' , yet applaud the dew and autumn because it doesnt affect you, but does others... some consistency would be nice...

Tree pollen season is normally March to Mid May. Suspect you are getting weed pollen problems, still not nice at all

yeah...id have thought its fungal spores at this time of the year. theres a lot of rotting decaying vegetation around now and the moisture only adds to the likelyhood of mildews and rusts adding spores to the atmosphere

I'm not going to argue the relative pros or cons of dew!! If you have a fungal spore allergy you have my total sympathy any allergy is a at best a pain at worst life threatening.

More suffer from allergies in the summer due to pollen though than in the Autumn/Winter due to fungal spores though. You can't deny that surely.

Do agree with your last post fully though, late August into most of September for those effected by fungal release can be bad .

thats very interesting, but highlights why temps alone are not the best indicator of how 'good' a summer is. rainfall and sunshine hours must also be taken into the equasion imho...but very interesting anyway.

Mold allergy, seems to be the most accurate, only affects me from mid June to early Sept, when its wet, avoided of course by closing window, taking allergy pill,

  • Coughing
  • Wheezing
  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest tightness
