Weather Guilt-Tripping - Please don't suggest people are selfish for enjoying or even looking forward to a certain weather type. Everyone has different weather preferences, but since none of us can control the weather, no-one should be made to feel guilty or foolish for liking it.

30c now in London. Not a cloud in the sky. Should push 32c before the day is out.

Nope your blinking right there!!

Showed that report to the staff in the office where i was, every one and i mean every one groaned and said it can B******er off now,we are sick of it! But as you say the weather will do what it wants,no amount of moaning and groaning will change that.

Thinking about Septembers post warm summers (more specifically warm Augusts?) both 1969 and 1973 had some some lovely, warm and sunny weather during September...

Can only hope and pray this is wrong!! The last thing we need! Can you imagine the impact on farming?

Dear god, I hope not. Who wants a warm or mild October. Urgh.

Nature certainly doesn't,that's for sure. Octobers are ruined by mild/warm weather, nothing settles down ready for winter, then when the colder weather does come things haven't adjusted properly. Seen it many times.

That's true anything out of kilter. A sudden late Spring cold snap can cause damage, that's far more damaging.

Have to say it's really nice here today, 26c or thereabouts, not humid, pretty much perfect. It's been so nice to be able to have BBQ's whenever and not really have to worry about weather ruining any outdoorsy stuff planned. Will definitely miss the nice weather while it's (temporarily?) away, the lawn will probably appreciate it though.

lol, I think I've said many times if I'm not working(on site) or commuting, hot buses, furnace temps on some underground lines, and the nasty pollution+London heat, then i  am fine in garden with pool, shade too when required.

Nights are a problem though if the humidity is high, positive side to that is perhaps some Carol humdingers tomorrow.

Temp now 32c

Humidity 30% (that helps too)

Up to a total of 831hrs of sunshine since 1st May here now - pretty much 8½hrs of sunshine a day over a 3 month period. Exceptional.

The end of September 1969 saw a mini-heatwave  but then was a sharp descent into cold and cloudy conditions at the beginning of October.
