Clear and sunny throughout. The maximum of 26.1C was the warmest here in 38 years of records, breaking the old record set in 2011 by a whole 2.1C. Only 9 days have been warmer here since 1980 before 15th June.

Planes trails lots today polluting the sky and making it much cloudier high cloud to what it should be.

Anyway 22.4c and the warmest april day since 2003.

Can't say we haven't had extremes over the last month or so. It's like we've skipped Spring and gone straight into Summer!
