So as we have now seen the first 20c of the year, and London looks like recording 25c+ on 4 of the next 5 days, attention turns to the first 30c of the year.

I will go with 24 June at Heathrow or Kew. I expect this year will be similar to last, with a warm June, average July and cool and wet August.

I say 5th July at Heathrow and it'll be a one day South East wonder. Then a very poor July and August, with another shot at 30C in late August. I'm not expecting much this summer.

I think I am right in saying the earliest 30 deg has been reached was 12th May 1945 at Camden but incredibly it  almost happened a month earlier when 29.4 deg was recorded also at Camden on 16 th April 1949.

I think we’ll have to wait a while before hitting 30c. My guess is sometime between the 10th and 20th of June, around the start of the World Cup. This will be after a cooler start to June, but temps picking up around the 4th, then turning hot between the 10th until the 20th, and will end with some thunderstorms.

The rest of June will be average with sun and cloudy days.

25th December when we reach highs of 30 degrees widely across the country... Farenheight that is :D

For real, I'll go June 13th around south/southwest London breaking the illusive record of no 30 degree weather ever recorded on that specific date. Then cold northelies for the rest of summer and raging blizzards during the 3rd week of August. :)

I’m going for a 2009 or 2010 summer. Both had a warm sunny June. But July 2009 was poor with rain and storms, while August 2010 was cool and cloudy.

June will be the best part of the summer, before turning poor. We might get a warm September to follow though.

2009 and 2010 weren't that similar. 2009 had a warm June, average July and August, with all 3 being cloudier than normal. 2010 had a warm, sunny June, a very warm but cloudy July, and a very cool, very cloudy August (2nd cloudiest on record).

Similar to last year. I think July will be the warmest month but June warmest relative to average. 7 days above 30c for the summer (5 in June, 2in July). August will continue the dominant theme since 2006; cooler, wetter, cloudier than average.
