A dry night with large amounts of high and medium level cloud. Fog developed in the valleys before dawn but this has now cleared;the cloud has also thinned and broken since 0730 g.m.t allowing sunny intervals.

Monday 09th April 2018: 

Breaking cloud through the early hours allowed thick fog to develop, visibility down to <50 yards by dawn, a touch of ground frost detected. At observation, fog, vis <200 Yards. The fog lifted after mid morning, though remaining cloudy. Light rain commenced by early afternoon continuing in to the evening.

 

Maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday 11.1∞C.

Minimum temperature overnight 4.9∞C

24-hour maximum 11.1∞C

24-hour minimum 4.9∞C

Minimum temperature on grass -0.1c.

Another miserable wet day here - cool and overcast with rain most of the day, a spell of mist and drizzle from mid afternoon and back to moderate rain this evening. Maximum 10.3, minimum 8.6. Wind light E.
