What a thoroughly vile day: uniformly grey sky, NNE wind and about 15C...Both the storms and the sunshine are no-shows!

Nope, even a storm that developed, just off shore lost electrification soon after reaching land. Must be pop up storms for now.

Grey skies and very muggy here in East Sussex.

Feels like one of those c**p days you occasionally get in the Med!

According to lunchtime's BBC forecast, an area of rain moved over this area, earlier on today...Just to put everyone in touch with reality - no, it didn't. Not even a single drop!

I hope.

Its decidedly warmer and feels more humid than earlier, with the suns warmth coming through now.

Storms still seem confined to the coast though.

Waiting. Waiting...

A lot brighter now - hopefully that will be pushing temperatures up and helping storms
