Another awful day with plenty of rain, despite forecasts for the rain to ease off if anything it has turned heavier again. Just 7c today, to think we were in the high twenties just over a week ago.

Yes unbelievable, feels like early to mid November here today and people that I have spoken to this morning were still talking about the chance of snow for the 1st May on the North Downs, I was surprised that this is still possible but just goes to show how quickly the weather can change in this country.

So last couple of months we have had everything from Summer to Winter including the kitchen sink thrown in for good measure.....

    March- Winter

    Mid April- High Summer

    1st May- Winter again

Absolute dire day here. Temp only reached 9c today and it hasn’t stopped raining!

We have bogged sodden wet ground that if I’m honest - not quite sure how my area is going to cope with yet more rainfall.

Yet let’s talk about goats and melons on a weather forum...

    :fool:

Really hoping for an improvement later in week, hopefully taking us into sunnier, warmer bank holiday!

I'm surprised it was  8.c today, on the allotment it felt very cool and damp. I could see my own breath and lit a fire to keep warm.

Those rainfall totals for Monday...should I buy a dinghy?

Looking for melon seeds. Any recommendations?

According to the iPod, its only going up to 6 degrees on Monday. An absolute travesty!

I planted some green beans in pots in the greenhouse last Friday, they still have not germinated - normally they have! Warmth where are ya?!

Low pressure is going to keep doing its thing during the upcoming week, rolling in from the Atlantic, then hanging around to bring days of sunshine and showers with occasional longer spells of rain. Read the full update here
