Can I mention the earthquake here? There has been now exciting weather of note but the 3.1 magnitude earthquake was quite exciting...

The most uncomfortable day of the summer for me so far. Very humid, no air. Hopefully it changes this weekend

The skies darkened, I heard thunder then a few drops of rain..... Woohoo!  I thought my rain dance had worked :D

Nope, it stopped then, it wasn't even enough to dampen the soil - Boohoo! Can still hear rumbling, in the distance, but no sign of any rain :(

Had a shower of sorts earlier, ground stayed dry, but you could feel spots of moisture landing on your skin, sun was still out, as well as cloud, just made the humidity rise, or feel like it rose, during the event. Didn't feel the earthquake here.

Pretty darn close to 30C here today with just a light northwesterly breeze so it feels probably the hottest it has been during this spell. Lots of sunshine, especially this afternoon.

Had a few flashes and cracks of thunder combined with half an hour of very welcome torrential rain. Didn't do much to lessen the humidity though!

21.3c now and cloudy. An uncomfortable night for sleeping ahead I think.

I'm photographing one tomorrow, I've had to book a hotel nearby when it's only an hour or so away so I'm not a sweaty mess already by the time I arrive, plus an extra dress so I can change when they have dinner.

Exactly what I said. Now it’s not nice. Think we’ve got about 3 more days of this before it cools off grrrr

Okay it is a lovely afternoon with lots of sunshine but a real feel of what if given it took until almost midday for the sun to come out thanks to low cloud being dragged off the north sea due to a NE wind which wasn't even predicted.

27C at the moment and rising rapidly as the wind is now coming from the north west.
