Gone very dark here in Dunstable. Some echos just shown up close by, but in the office so can't hear anything with the music on.

Surface based convection has failed here and apart from a few cumulus it has been a sunny afternoon.

Tibenham has shot up to 37.7C - if only it was an official station - that would have been a July all-time high.

I thought it was an official station? It’s on the Met Office map.

Thundering here now, lights flickering. Sky very dark but no rain as yet. It has suddenly got very windy and is starting to feel fresher. Come on rain....

Most of the sites on the WOW map are not official stations - I've been saying this several times today as their site doesn't make it clear.

Same here! Some very light blue echoes close to me on the radar, but nothing that looks threatening. However the sky is very dark and we've had a few deep rumbles.

There were at least two anvils as it passed around 15 miles to my west around an hour back, but it then merged with another cell over the coast.

There is one there, but whether the one quoted is the official one is another matter altogether.

Cheers.  Surely the gliding club based there would use the official one, wouldn't they?

The WoW site has an option to uncheck WoW observations and leave the official showing.

Surface convection starting to kick in. Look at EA in last half an hour. Small storms propping up North of Ely, over Chelmsford, and somewhere around Harlow. Significant expansion of existing cell cluster of S/SE, along with those heading out of NW France. Really hope we get something here in Cambridge, it's been sweltering for months!
