If, as someone said earlier, you filter on the WOW site for just official Met Office stations, you realise how fewthere are.  For example, there are only 2 in th whole of Norfolk, which, for those who are not aware, is a large county - one at Weybourne which is probably no more than 1 1/2 miles at ost from the sea, and one at RAF Marhsm which is in the far west of the county.  All the other sites are schools which are in the scheme and approved amateur stations.

So 30.7 degrees in Ashford (as per Kennington WOW station) makes sense as it's always a few degrees above Lydd (apart from winter when the nearby sea keeps Lydd a lot warmer haha). Still not a single cloud in the sky :)

Now 33.4C at the WOW station in Willesborough, Ashford.

Long time lurker, first time posting here.

What are the chances for a thunder storm or two here in London? Most of them seem to be going off further east/north.

I work in Covent Garden in central London and it is eerily quiet today. I think the heat from yesterday and all the talk of 37c is making people stay indoors.

I think some of them temps are wrong..

Here is the temperatures across the region at 11:33am

This is live from station data

Those were maxima from 10-11 a.m., and I'm not sure which weather station they're using for the Norwich area as the Met Office don't have one here now, as I said earlier.

Norwich Weather Centre appears to be part of a private company called "weatherhq".  It certainly isn't a Met Office station as I'm a local and recall when they closed it!

In London itself? Depends which bit, but I would think anywhere south and/or west of the ‘Greater’ bit isn’t going to see much in the way of rain.
