It feels more like a summers evening than an autumn one here in St Leonards on Sea, not complaining though. Currently 19.1c with a southerly breeze.

If this weather holds out it should be near perfect for Saturday's Hastings Bonfire event.

Yes it sure does. I was office based all day today and I was able to watch the progress of the bonfire building as we’re right on the seafront! ‘‘Twas very windy though went for a wonder at lunchtime and had to hold on to a bin, (no gin had past my lips at that point!) to stop being blown over!

@stainesbloke congratulations on your marriage . If it’s anything like mine it will be wonderful, not always but wonderful .

the weather was great today , being blown about in October I get but in a T shirt was quite surreal , I might try a bbq tomorrow in 25 degree heat and a gale force wind , what can go wrong .

Currently it's blowing a hoolie. That said, it's still 19.5C...Very reminiscent of mid-Octobers 1978 and 1995...:yahoo:

21C right now that’s impressive seems to have inversely got warmer as day has progressed. Blowy.

Yes - the temperature has risen steadily, and has only just started to drop off slightly now.  18 degrees currently - not bad for 21.30 in mid-October!

Apparently, what I initially thought to be scrotes letting-off fireworks, yesterday evening, was in fact lightning. What a peculiar month this is turning out to be.

It’s nearly 11pm....we’re halfway through October, and it’s 21c outside. What the hell is going on??! This is crazy warm. Warmer than a lot of summer nights!

Crazily warm here this morning!!:angry:Sitting in my lounge, with both fans on, ridiculous!!

Can't wait for the Atlantic to definitively make a breakthrough and deliver some fresher air, to our region.

Regards,

Tom. :hi:

You might be waiting sometime Tom...other than brief Pm interludes with HP close to the south west (like we have experienced at times in September) heights never seem to disappear from the south for the foreseeable. It's all rather frustrating, I like seasons to be seasons.

It has been quite windy since yesterday and it was at it's windiest in the early hours of this morning.  I have the back door open so Simba my cat can go in the garden when he wants to.  The weather is making me very sleepy along with the nights drawing in.  It was dark at 7:30pm and it felt more like 9:30 pm.  The temperature at 11 am is 21 Celsius with 17 miles per hour winds with 31 miles per hour gusts coming from a southerly direction.

Seemingly, it's now 24C+ over most of East Anglia. And London of course!

Yes loving the warm summer feel today. Great for those that have weekends off, much better compared to the cold grot last Saturday.

Im hoping all this warm weather will bite is in the bum with a freeze up in time for Christmas.

Would be so nice to keep this mild dry weather skipping the Autumn soaking, straight to winter... if only!

Washing drying outside in 23c temps... bootiful.

Been trying to close my allotment down for winter for days - but it's either been to windy, too wet, too warm etc. The wind is now picking up again but the very warm afternoon means people near the allotment have washing on the line meaning I can't have a bonfire. Strange old week weatherwise. At least this warm and fair/sunny gap means Stainesbloke should get some wedding pictures!

22.8.c currently.
