It has been a sunny morning but by the afternoon the sunshine disappeared.  It is feeling cool and the temperature is 14 °C  with 41% humidity.

Fairly boring day today weatherwise. 15.2 max in the capital. Sunny spells. Chilly evening ahead look like, ideal for allotment bonfire. Autumn now. Could be stormy next weekend, proper autumn weather.

Personally I love cold & snowy

Hate extreme heat & humid

love a good wind & rain storm

love warm & Sunny as long as it’s not too hot.

Grey & cloudy ??‍♂️

if that annoys anyone then tough.

Thanks for clarifying.

Can we all just like what we like, without getting in unnecessary disputes about it? The SE thread has always been one of the friendliest and welcoming on the netweather forum, seems to have gone a bit ‘aggro’ in recent months, which would be a shame if it continued.

Does anyone else have a really good feeling about this winter...? with all the recent blocking highs, low solar activity, increasingly favorable el-nino signals, and plenty of other factors coming into place... This HAS to be our (the coldie's) winter!

JUST FOR FUN:

the CFS keeps pumping out easterly solutions for different parts of the winter...

I certainly hope so.

Though we need that blasted HP to our south/south west to finally do one. We don't want that type of 'blocking', we ll just end up with this.

Dank and breezy this morning, 13.2c...no rain despite some being forecast.

Hoping for a couple of decent falls before Christmas just like Dec 10th last year.

Then for a snowy January, last winter made me nostalgic with icicles hanging of cars and roofs mid afternoon. Childhood memories.

A repeat would be fantastic.

First the morning was overcast with nimbostratus clouds and then it changed to stratocumulus. There has been intermittent sunshine.  The temperature is  14°C with 88%.  According to Met Office there will be a 70% to 90% chance of rain for Thurrock.

I would also like to have plenty of heavy snow fall for the whole of December and January.

Btw. It felt quite warm and humid this morning, grey with a few spots of rain.

No snow yet outside.

I've enjoyed today. Plenty of sunshine, some great skies and an exhilarating gusty breeze made for a lovely walk this afternoon. Here was the view over Hadleigh:

And for the record, Stats for September in the East. Not a bad month at all.

Loving the beautiful autumnal weather, absolutely no complaints from me. Nonsuch Park is showing the first signs of the trees turning accompanied by some beautiful skies for a fab feel of the season changing. That said it's 20 degrees on the car thermometer and humid this evening reminding us that winter is still a while off yet. Svalbard and the Alps on the other hand are giving us some virtual snow fall on the webcams although it does rather come and go this early in the season.

Gone dull now after bright start. Mild though at 17.8. Met backing away from any meaningful rain for the forceeable. Looks like we heading for autumn drought, never goes news in the south east.

We’re definitely in need of some “usable “ rain now to help the out door activities like football & rugby etc. All the ground around here is still tinder dry and brown grass.
