Some fairly large puddles around Hastings.

Another good drop of rain this morning. Been on the allotment again, soil getting quite wet but easy to work. Lovely smell of Autumn in the air. Could be a touch of frost in the week.

Just a bit of autumnal rain here, not worthy of any kind of warning

Indeed, just normal autumn weather. Storm never materialised anyway, as expected. Models eh.....

Well that was a freezing walk along Kingston riverside in the teeth of something of a breeze and plentiful rain; not sure why I thought an umbrella and light jacket would be sufficient, it was soooo cold. Brightening up now with the cloud breaking up and sun poking through; the trees are now more swaying gently than being whipped around. But I'm glad to be home and wrapped up with a cup of tea on the sofa.

Beautiful blue skies and sunshine now here, amazing how quickly all that rain and cloud cleared away. Still miserably cold at 11C but should hopefully warm up a little in the sunshine.

Agreed, once it had all cleared through the skies became blue and the sun came out all within about half an hour. Let's hope the sun can warm us all up a bit ready for our nice high pressure next week. Garsons Farm in Esher have their Christmas display nearly complete now and the plums have already gone past their picking date, so fingers crossed that October brings us a nice seasonal shift into autumn.

Certainly a chilly feel in the house today. Wife even had the heating on, briefly.

Regards,

Tom.

Yes was in Garson’s yesterday and could see they had dismantled the garden furniture and barbecue dept and were rapidly building a Xmas wonderland in its place - I swear they used to wait till the middle of October ?? I love Garsons Farm however it’s one of the great local institutions this way .... the food dept. is great like a cross between Harrods’ food hall and Whole foods !!

Lovely skies this afternoon once the miserable rain finally moved away.  This was looking south through the trees from a nearby ridge at just over 400 ft asl, across the flat lands towards the distant South Downs.  Cool night ahead.

Certainly chilly and fresh, on rising this morning. Bedroom feels much more comfortable now. Felt nice and toasty, under the duvet last might, rather than sweating buckets, lying on top of it.

Watched recording of, "Weather for the Week ahead". Looks a very pleasant week, in our neck of the woods. Dry, plenty of sunshine, hardly any wind but with cool nights. Only wind and rain on the map, in the far north of the UK. Thursday looks the warmest day, 22c/23c possible in the London area. Very nice week, coming up.

Regards,

Tom. :hi:

Bit chilly this morning on the Run

Lovely clear skies at Sunrise. Now that the boring cold rain has done one, we can look forward to a fairly sunny and increasingly warm week with No Rain and perfect outdoor fitness & dog walking weather.

Well I walked out the door this morning, immediately turned around and went back in to put a jacket on.

Realised it must be time to start dropping into NW again.

Hope everyone enjoyed the summer, the madness is about to begin.

Nice morning, cool bit not to cold, first morning I've worn a jacket for the school run. Sun has warmed things up nicely now, will not need a jacket now till the evening.

Not used to this cool weather in September many including October in recent years have been balmy.

May be we will be seasonal this year, we haven't been far off that most of the year. A late winter is actually quite normal for us. I do expect it to be cold enough for snow from the right directions from late November.  Doesn't mean that will happen, and it sure as hell won't be 4 months of snow like the express said lol. They must for cast exclusively for the scottish mountains.
