Well I will need my new waterproofs for my golf day later in Croydon. Not expecting much lol as it's hammering down. Altho may pass through as we tee off.... eek is all I can say

Some much needed rain at last to soften the hard baked ground. Next week looks like it could be some chilly nights with mid to high teens in the day, just perfect

Don't see why the warning for rain was dropped just look at the radar.

kinda thinking that too but it is moving through quickly.. If it was slower than maybe. Having said that we have had torrential rain for about an hour now lots of surface flooding about

Yeah just looked at the loop, the rain is moving very fast.

First coat day for months for me today , absolutely pelting down lots of surface water everywhere, Roll on the high pressure next weeks , lucky I have work today as outdoor activities are certainly out of the question today .

Has been pouring down for a while now, here in Lee, S.E.London but does look like it's moving pretty quickly.

After today's ghastly rain, looks like being fine and dry for at least 10 days with temperatures probably averaging at close to average.  Let's hope for a dry, fine and warm October!

Just driven to Windlesham from mine in staines lots of flooding now, one road being closed of in Virginia water

They closed the case  Although  the police force once failed to spot a knife in the back of a murder victim, so who knows, maybe it's a goat

Very heavy rain just easing off here, no flooding though. Cold.

never mind the rain and the wind, we could be on track to record the coldest September day since at least 1986. Temp at the moment in mid-Essex is around 8-9c and even when the rain clears, if the wind picks up the temperature might not change much from current levels.

I’m right on the coast in Sussex, it’s absolutely hammering it down here, when I woke this morning the wind was just a light breeze, in the last hour or so the wind has got up ALOT and it’s howling. I’m finding it quite cold this morning as well. We have had no signal on our tv since last night(due to the weather). Roast dinner and board games for us this afternoon I feel.
