Been a thoroughly miserable wet/ damp day in the Thames Estuary. Rain on and off all day. Looks like a small depression  developed and remains stationary over the area ( about 70 miles in diameter ). Rain today map shows it rotating nicely.

Yes, that was interesting to watch yesterday on the rain radar. Very localised.

Lovely sunny morning here, barely any cloud, very nice. Feeling fresh at 18C but winds are light.

The rain promised for 6pm has not materialised in Thurrock.  I hope the rain does come as it saves me having to go out with a watering can and watering all my many plants.

Now that that the grot has passed through here this evening, tomorrow should be decent with temps up to 20c in sunny spells with no rain - great for us that work outside.

Looking fairly good over the weekend bar the odd few showers, Monday and Tuesday looking fine and dry and ECM 00z going with a warm up later next week with temps in the mid 20’s - fingers crossed that comes to fruition - way to early for the Atlantic wet muck to set in.

At least no major rainfall expected in the next 7 days.

What a cracking day today.Clear blue skies and although a little fresh at 8.30 when i started work it was pleasently watm by 9am and it stayed nice and sunny till about 3.30pm in Locksbottom.Had a little light rain about 7.30pm but it only just dampened the ground.Temp peaked at 21.7 here.Tomorrow looks another lovely day but maybe 1-2 degrees cooler.Still lovely weather to work in and so much nicer than that heat and humidity of June & July

It's almost Christmas AGAIN

Xmas could well be colder than average this year, says TWO, which gives the reasons. Doubtless similar reasons will be given by Netweather in due course!

A useable weekend coming up, a few showers/ periods of light rain possible to the north of region tomorrow temps up to 20c

Sunday mainly fine and dry with temps up to 22c

Next week looking good with some Mid 20s warmth felt.

No heavy rain - bring it on.

Got 6 long months of that on our doorstep - the longer it delays the better.

It's because of the strat warming event of February, the effects are still being felt, blocking highs are still dominating our weather.
