Let’s hope so

some lovely warm autumn days and frosty nights

Sounds good to me. Bit early for frosts, though. There was a dense layer of mist on Runnymede early this morning, autumn is here.

Pretty decent day of weather in Reigate.  Max of about 22c, dry, largely sunny.  Whilst I was wfh I enjoyed watching my 21 and 15 year old boys working together and putting up a new shed from scratch whilst 17 year old daughter gave them fashion tips about how they looked as construction specialists.  Not that we're stupidly clichéd here or anything.

Chilly old run this morning with some stunning scenes of mist layering fields.

Nice weekend coming up with temperatures possibly reaching up to mid 20s.

Most importantly, no rain.

This company sell quite a few different thermometers, and are based fairly locally in Worthing I believe.

It's a lovely sunny day  on the first day of meteorological autumn. It feels like autumn has started early this year. The temperature taken at 9:00 am is 13°C, with the humidity at 88%.  There are light winds coming from an E.S.E direction.  There is medium visibility and the UV index is at 2.

Won’t feel like autumn tomorrow morning. Temps not expected to drop below 15c in London and the Southeast tonight, so a much milder/warmer start tomorrow with daytime temperatures expected to be higher than today’s.

Gin clear skies here, temperatures pushing up in that sunshine. Feels warm already

Bring it on, much better than the Atlantic muck of last weekend.

Another yawn fest weather day.

At least the met going for something more changeable from midweek onwards here in the south. Summer can do one now. Bring on Autumn. Proper weather!

The flip flops can be put away for 7/8 months.

Hottest day of 2018 - highest temp.

From the Met Office "New information has come in and the top temperature of summer 2018 is now 35.6C on the 27th July at Felsham in Suffolk." 96F

So the day after the 35.3C at Faversham, Kent on the 26th and Faversham reached 35.2C on the 27th

What you find a ‘yawn fest’, the vast majority of people will likely find very pleasant. Nothing to complain about here, a lovely first day of autumn. Nearly clear skies, a moderate S’ly wind and 23C currently. There’ll be months of boring grey skies to come, have no fear!

After minutes of studying here is my winter forecast, A blocked, cold, frosty, snowy, foggy, sunny, mild, Atlantic dominated windy wet settled, cloudy, drizzly winter expected. 25th of November will be especially cloudy. I know what you're thinking, this is very similar to what the met office come out with every year  They use multi-million-pound computers whilst mine was 599 in a sale

There are a few complications in my own method, Lass...But I am anticipating some intense HLB at around 3:11 p.m. on January 17th...

Surely that has to be a wind up post Staines.

What the hell does ‘proper weather’ mean? Weather is weather.

Lets wish away a fine September weekend for autumn grey mild Atlantic gunk (sorry, proper weather) =

Anyway, Just back from CrossFit with the under 16’s - feels like summer out there, stunning day.

First day of 'meteorological autumn' here in St Leonards on Sea has been a 10/10 with cloudless skies, barely a breeze and a max of 21.7c, better than quite a few days in August in fact.

As I count down the hours to the end of 'meteorological summer' ( yes I know, but I happen to like the JJA definition ! ) I'm looking forward to adding up all the stats I've been recording from Weathercasts Herstmonceux site for summer 2018.

Stats all done now, details to follow shortly. I've taken them from the Herstmonceux site because it's the nearest official site to my location, approximately 9 miles as the crow flies and therefore a far more reliable source than any other I can find locally.

I think you guys just need to accept that other people like other weather types that might not be your own preference. No need to jump on people when ever they mention wind, rain or cloud. Let’s not turn this into the MAD thread. I for one would like to see a bit of stormy wet weather and I work outside all the time, now’t wrong with that.
