Weird 'calm before the storm feeling' this morning. It's 20C, very overcast and humid and everything in the garden is damp although no overnight rain. Need a good storm to clear the air I think. That'd be good

Disgustingly sticky at work today. I loved the dry 30* days this summer, but 22 degrees with like 80-something% humidity is not the one. Please freshen up!

And guess where im going tommorow umtil Saturday? Yup, NW Ireland.!!Quite looking forward to feeling chilly again to be honest.Big convective showers forecast for there.

Best day since the end of the heatwave. The drier airmass over the continent has drifted far enough north to influence most of the region. A high of 26c with the humidity dropping below 50% for the first time in days.

Yes,certainly alot less humid this evening.

Today was more like it , nice and warm with sunny spells , a bit of a shock at the weekend by the looks of things with hopefully the return of a bit of heat there after . Need to get the bbq out at least one more time before the year is out although stupidly I’ve been reminded I’ve offered to do a bbq and fireworks party around mine this year , for once I hope it’s not too cold for that , after that , the blizzards can come .

Really cloudy this morning, but the forecast for no rain, was right  Lovely and sunny by lunchtime but not too hot. Really beginning to notice the days getting shorter though... the cat is asking to be fed when it gets dark, and not wanting to wait until I go to bed
