Could be a few decent storms for quite a few of us this afternoon. Historically, some of the NW’erly thunderstorm setups have delivered some cracking afternoon storms over my life time in this neck of the woods.

It's muggy and cloudy and not at all cold.

note to self, it's still too warm for joggers and a t-shirt.

had a few light showers this morning.

Sun breaking through, steamy feeling. Hoping today delivers some lively thunderstorms than the recent days.

A line of showers is starting to form and they seem to be joining together and getting intense on the radar heading south east I think ?

Yes, think that line is stretching all the way down to S.E.London. Just had heavy rain here but no thunder, yet!!

Regards,

Tom.

Sun came out followed by a rush of showers building. It seems the energy is there today, however I'm not sure they didn't build to quick and use it all, which may keep them as heavy rain showers.

Sometimes isolation makes better storms.

A few brief sunny spells this morning, now just dull and grey. If it brightens up a bit then maybe the odd shower later....

Dry and bright and 20.2C...and, needless to say, there's no sign whatsoever of any 'slow moving, heavy, thundery showers'!

Had a very heavy shower here earlier, intense rainfall! Some warm sunshine earlier but now it’s just yucky grey grot with no blue sky visible at all. Feeling quite warm and humid, nonetheless, 22C currently.

Got caught in an extremely heavy shower at belhus that soaked us all to the skin. Driving back to Ockendon it seems dry? I wonder if it rained or has it just dried up already!

Sun is shining now, 23 Celsius could reach 24-25 today from the sun meaning this afternoon will have a lot of fuel, high hopes
