Don’t think the storms reached this Far East, at least I didn’t hear anything as I snuggled down under my duvet for the first time in weeks, the joy of being able to do that. Blue skies and sun this morning, not even chilly, least not for me, plenty of puddles about, maybe the yellow grass around here might start to return to green soon.

Just 8.4 c here on the sandy soils of Surrey hate to use the A word but yes when I let the dog out at 7am it felt like Autumn - temperature light smell all mad me think of late September. After such a great start has the curse of August struck again !?

Should warm up after today but it won’t be settled for a few days. After that....I don’t have a scooby. Met Office seem to think it’ll settle down after mid month. As long as any autumnal weather actually stays in autumn, no major issue for me.

Agree, like not appearing until at least November!

Now this is more the kind of rain I like, fast moving sharp showers with a thunder risk, gonna be fun watching these roll through.

Not a bad looking day, methinks...With a fresh WSW wind, and cold uppers, storms that do develop won't get snuffed-out by sea breezes. It reminds me a bit of August 2012. At least until nothing happens, that is!⛈️

Ahhhh lovely night's sleep under the duvet and onward and upward getting house tidy and clean. Didn't get any thunder last night, boo hoo but I lit my candles.

Tis raining here and a light breeze. Had to turn the kitchen light on my to make my 2nd coffee of the day.

I know how to live.

Sunday is looking wetter and cooler now for our part of the world. Looks like the rain will spread to our region with temps in the low 20s rather than mid 20s.

The one day I didn't want frequent showers - setting up the caravan nr Bedford. Great. Radar just looks messy tbh.

Are you thinking of watching the Perseids tonight? It looks like it will be fairly clear from around 22:00 onwards.

The heavens have just opened in Bexhill; Fairly heavy convective rainfall and strong gusts of wind atm.

It actually feels like autumn today! Very brisk wind with some stronger gusts and more or less consistent rain.

Seems really odd having to put jeans and jumpers on after weeks and weeks of shorts and strappy tops. Even had to wear wellies to walk the dogs!

Oooh, lively thunderstorm passing here now, gone quite dark but no major rainfall, as yet.

Wow, biblical rain in central London with thunder and lightning.  Who needs steaming hot heat to create storms!
