After a few tropical drops Ashford is back to sunshine and temp is up again.

France looks very, very promising!

Sun is back out in central London now - pushing the temperature back up to unbearable heat.  Can't wait for my journey home later as well, courtesy of the South East Trains Sauna!

The radar looks quite impressive - some of us are going to get absolutely drenched tonight, looks further West than projected at the moment which should bring more into the game - fortunately most should avoid it for the rush hour. Hopefully a nice thunderstorm later in the evening to go alongside a Dominos and some magical herb

Screenshot_20180807-164733.thumb.png.e375ee1761645bcddccb5c7aa669474a.pngLooks like Estofex might have failed us for once as well...

I guess they are just about within their margins.

Had a small 5minute shower in Maidstone while I was out delivering. As I walked up the road I could feel the steam coming off the tarmac. Have to say it was lovely feeling the rain.

Looks quite promising to the south but sadly just an area of light rain breaking up as it heads NE towards the N Sea. Hey ho.

I'm not trusting what met office says really just watching the radar because any changes can be made

Just wondering if the dust on cars is Sahara dust or iberian ash. Might be both I guess.

It’s veering quite east now. The western extent is dying off electrically. Looks like a clipper to me

Just want to post this up from earlier this morning. AROME were wrong about ppn staying much further south and east, over France but they seemed to have forecast the development of an MCS, just NE of Paris, correctly

As can be viewed, on the satellite image, below:

https://en.sat24.com/en/eu/visual

Quote:

"AROME

Having none of it and keeps any thundery ppn, well to our south and east Goes on to develop, what looks to be an impressive MCS, around the Paris area, which trundles off to the Belgian/German border".

Regards,

Tom.

Been very hot all day, but in the last hour it’s increasing humid. Radar showing showers over us but it’s not coming anywhere near to ground level. Feeling so sick right now, clinging on dearly to the idea of fresher air that’s supposed to get to us by tomorrow.
