I think it'll surprise some at the weekend with the humidity and maybe temps around 25oC. certainly not cool. It'll feel cooler tomorrow of course as it'll be prob 8 degrees lower than today but after that I think it'll feel warm and in the sunshine quite muggy at the weekend

Actually don't think it will be that bad, looks like 25c and sunny tomorrow then average.. Met Office even mention weekend feeling warm and humid once more

Our region should miss the worst of the wind and rain at the weekend. Tomorrow looks fine, 25C is very pleasant. Highs of 21C are too cool for my liking, especially with cloud. But it’s been sunny and hot for so long and I’m working the next 7 days, so I’m not bothered. Would be great to see a decent storm or two, though!

Indeed Luke...despite the popular misconception, there is a third type of UK weather: not wall-to-wall sunshine and 30+ temps, and not endless days' grey with drizzle...?

What's wrong with the good old British three-fine-days-and-a-thunderstorm scenario: some rain, some sun and temps maxing out between, say, 19 and 25C?⛈️

Nothing wrong with that, but it rarely pans out like that. We usually get 3 fine days (if lucky), a Kent Clipper then weeks of cool, windy, drizzly rubbish. Not this year, thankfully

27.5 here, at 11 a.m. So a slim chance of our beating 33.9. The SSW wind ought to help, too...?

30.4c here in SW London. Probably get to 32c.

Interesting outlook just out from the met office.Looks like it could be our turn to get some decent rain down here in the medium term. Further out, they have been hinting at thundery weather for some time now. Could turn out to be a wet enough early autumn.

The thermometer which I have on the wall in back garden open porch which is quite shaded.  It is showing 27°C at 12:30pm.  The barometric pressure is falling and it is reading at 1008mb.

Regional forecast says temps back to average for weekend  ,National says feeling humid at weekend.Always a difference between the two I notice. Also they have an error as they are showing only the uk’s highest lowest temperature yesterday for the UK and the regional values. Why no highest maximum temperature yesterday ,happened before too.

Personally I would say a distant frequent light-show is fairly likely, Either from individual cells or an MCS. Getting hit head-on by an individual storm, however, is another matter... Fingers crossed!!

Yep, heard it too with a smaller one a couple of minutes after.

Currently 25.4C + 64% humidity + 3 mph SE = feeling v. warm

Starting to get a bit cloudy over central London atm - I think it is showing signs of instability up in the atmosphere.  Either that, or I am looking for storm chances that just aren't there!
