Nothing for the eastern part of the region, just dead anvils passing. Wow. Cloud to the SE means no moon either probably. Almost a double bust.

I was thinking that earlier. Plenty of cloud south of Norwich but no rain and we'll probably miss the blood moon. Come on rain!

Steady rain with occasional thunder here now. Enough to water the garden at least.

I'm sure your time will come, I was at work near Beetley earlier and there have been cars damaged by hail around Stanfield/Brisley area.

I think our most decent chance now and for the rest of Norfolk will be coming up from the channel.

For anyone reading living in Norfolk with hail damage to their car, search for Paul Gotts Dent Devils,  may be cheaper than an insurance claim and might make the difference between your car being repaired or written off.

Looks like that lot from France is going to go to the East of me.

A rumble or 2 and now there are spits and spots, ooh heavier as I type :)

Stopping now, storm is moving on, but the garden had 8mm of rain in the 48minutes :)

You lot crack me up. Storm shields a plenty. Not here in Bexleyheath. Two storms so far. The last one was a cracker!

Could be hit or miss for me on the Essex Riviera...I can hear thunder and see the dark clouds but seems just a tad to the east, just brief rain here so far ;(

Ha ha I just posted literally the same without seeing your post. Didn’t mean to steal any  thunder. (See what I did there )

This is sooo BORING. However I have doubled my days thunder heard to two so obviously I ought to be humbly grateful....

Well that was refreshing. Very foreboding storm with a lot of gusts and bluster, but when it passed over it wasn't constant lightning, and the heaviest rain only fell for around 20 minutes. Still all in all about 45 minutes from one edge to the other. Maybe 20 decent local strikes with loud rumbles, only one really good shotgun clap. Hoping for a bit more of a light show this evening when darkness falls. Trying to photograph lightning in the day is a real pain in the posterior.

Well ground is getting a good watering, some thunder and lightning around, but it's something like one every two minutes or so, although we did just get one that flashed four times in similar place.

Been a beautiful day here 28c. Now getting very dark. Wonder if we might get another rumble of thunder or two.

Earlier this afternoon, on my way back home from work, the pavements had steam rising from them from the earlier rain. Wowsers!! Just loving the breeze.
