Storm incoming, gone dark here now. Still hot and steamy.

Half an hour ago we had what looked on the radar like a serious downpour pretty much right over us - and still nothing! Max temp of 33 today, so about 1 degree down from yesterday. Now 31.  Not sure whether the Surrey rain is coming for us in North Kent of whether we'll get our own home-grown cells popping up....

If I do that the only 'official' sites for the whole of Kent are on the coast, none at all inland. Stupid coverage.

Same here in Norfolk - one on the coast, one at RAF Marham in the west of the county - none anywhere else.

If you don't have a Netweather subscription which gives you V& radar (hi-res and 5 minute updates, your best option is the Raintoday radar.  In terms of tracking local conditions, you can find weather stations (most unofficial, but you can filter out all but the Met Office ones) or http://Wunderground.com.

Crikey. The temp, according to the Beccles station, is now up to 33.9!

Yep, same here, I’m just north of Sevenoaks. Not a drop!! Maybe the cells north of Paris will come our way or as you say more home grown ones. Fingers crossed!!

Bloody hell! The rain yes!!!!

Are you getting heavy rain? Not too much here but quite a noisy little storm with nicely visible lightning!

Had a nice little show from the storm to the west of London. My commute home has brung me back east now away from those but just noticed the cell pop up heading for Croydon. I think for all of us it’s just a case of radar watching now. Forget what the models are saying
