In London itself? Depends which bit, but I would think anywhere south and/or west of the ‘Greater’ bit isn’t going to see much in the way of rain.

West Ham specifically so East London. Hopefully I get lucky :)

.... I think that coolish start could stuff any chance round here of record breaking....too much to catch up probably.

Look further east! The ground here is still damp!!

If the storms are bad enough and we get hail - you might not be far off lol. A nice covering would do me

Can we class the potential of hail with the storms later as snow?

I work in Covent Garden in central London and it is eerily quiet today. I think the heat from yesterday and all the talk of 37c is making people stay indoors.

Same in Canary Wharf - I told my team to work from home today so it's just lonely ol me in the office lol. I think a lot of people have avoided the commute

Be one hell of a shock to the system though ..

Just a bit - would be crazy. Fingers crossed. Only ever seen hail give a decent cover once in my life in the UK. Many times in Canada

The hottest 850s are hanging on for dear life in the extreme east but start to clear after 3pm.

If there’s going to a be a record it’s likely to be recorded in the east  of Norfolk .

Someone posted the Diss temp earlier and that area would be the best bet .

I see the Met Office warnings has now been extended covering London, Kent and Sussex from 2 pm onwards... here's hoping!

Just noticed too! Maybe some nice surprises. Ideal would be late afternoon storms then clearing in time for the lunar eclipse

32.7C here with VP2 with FARS so probably pretty accurate, it is horribly hot.

But spare a thought for our friends over the channel, I was in Brussels yesterday and it was 38c
