not sure whos forecasting what but the one arriving @29c is going to be wrong

EA reaches thicknesses of 1410 Dam just a shade unde the record 1428 - difference of about 2c.

36/37c is a go.

I noticed tonight the beeb have lowered the temps somewhat in EA down to 32c for tomorrows high. So if they are right 35.1c would be the peak temp from this spell.

Oh love I hope she feels better soon... Very best wishes to you x

The cold flannel is doing the trick, she's not 100% but she is feeling better, I think she'll be fine for now anyway. Not sure more heat tomorrow is going to do her much good though.

Our Region in the firing line for tomorrow into Saturday. The drought could end in spectacular fashion for many:

Just back from a week in the Algarve with my partner and  27c and onshore breeze no problem.

Back in London my partner is permanently sitting under fans and having trouble breathing due to pollution etc etc

And on top of this my mother has chest infection which they are specifically measuring her phelgm for pollutants as the cause

We need to reduce pollutants in the SE.. but we all know that

And seperately : I LOVE THIS WEATHER

Very much one treasure is one poison

The sky is clear apart from few wisps of clouds.  The temperature has gone down to 29 °C  and humidity has increased from 47 % to 61% and will increase to 86% tomorrow.

lol, I didn't think it over. I left because it looked like a dogging site, lots of weirdos around. Still 25.5c at night, that would be considered a warm summers day

Can someone say who got the forecasted temperatures for today most correct - bbc or met? And other days this week.
Then we might be able to tell if we can trust the met's 37C for tomorrow.

They were both going for 35C today, so both were accurate. Doesn’t really help much for tomorrow. All depends on cloud cover / storms. Very hard to get that right.

It's just ridiculously warm/humid for this time of evening. It actually felt alright in the breeze earlier in North London, but now I'm back in St Albans the breeze is gone and it's just so oppressive.

They were both in agreement today and the last few days, give or take a degree or so.

I'm with the beeb on this one for tommorow, certainly for London.

Inside my flat still 32ºc... 29.5 outside (on an asphalt roof surrounded by buildings) and stifling. We really do need a storm to break this heat a touch.

I suspect that’s more wishful thinking on your part!
