23.3C @ 9 a.m. - you cannot be serious!

I couldn't sleep under the blankets last night it's humid as well as hot here. Done the school run in a t'shirt for I think the second time this year, it's normally cool down here, off the North sea. It25.3 here now. Have some ac cas visable south of me, that will probably do nothing.

(It's not 100% accurate, but..) temps says 27.c here at 10.30am. But there are also large patches of dark cloud drifting over, in fact some very watcheable clouds hereabouts.

But crumbs, it's oppressive to do manual work in.

I'm going to do a storm dance, s*d, it.

24.3 now, don't expect anything to slow down the temp yet, gonna be a scorcher here today.

It was 23.3 don't know why I wrote 25 before, just noticed.

Can someone please remind me when we last saw any measurable rainfall in S.W London? Many thanks.

Probably over a month ago, 14th June here (when the World Cup started) and that was unexpected. 28.2c here at the moment, so good chance of the hottest day of the year where I live.

about 8 weeks since any rain here, if you ignore the 6 minutes of rain we had last week that evaporated within 15 minutes.

Current temperature in my garden is 28.1c, and still climbing quite fast, probably going to be above 30c yet again, be time to get in my pool after lunch :)

Hello all you folks down south. Just popping in from the Midlands forum, some may remember I moved up here is May.

Hope you are all doing well. No measurable rain since 25th May here. Desperately in need on a break in the weather.

No thunderstorms since I have been here either. The below pic is the rural countryside, which is meant to be green!

Wow this what a  summer day should be like ish. Maybe several degrees cooler for my liking.

29c in this little corner but only 44% humidity and dewpoint of only 13c.

It is SO MUCH more different than the last few years.

The high cloud from the cold front reached here around 2ish so that has probably prevented 30C being reached. Still it is 28C and holding steady with some clearer breaks moving in from the west.

So for the whole breakdown thing, looking at the temperature predictions this week will probably be the warmest/hottest of the year so far (Most of the hot days strangely have occured over the weekends).

Last week highs (Mon - Fri) - 26C,22C, 22C, 24C, 26C

This week - 28C(maybe higher), 25C, 26C, 29C, 28C (based on model output).

I suspect places further east such as Norwich would see an even bigger extreme with regards to this week being warmer than most of the summer so far.

For the first time in several weeks, the sky is 75% clouded over.  I do not know if it is going to rain or not. I hope it will as the wall barometer's dial is pointing to changeable weather.

Day 48 of no rain here and unlikely to get any this week either.Truly exceptional and looks like temps will climb a little again from weds.Weekend just gone was max of 29.2 on saturday and 29.9 yesterday and today was 28.6 here.TBH i am fed up with this heat now as having to work in it isnt much fun-upto 25 degrees is ok but thereafter too much for me.I never thought i would hear myself say it as i like the warmth but i would love a cool unsettled spell and see rain falling for a few days lol!!What a strange year it has been in this neck of the woods-March and April very wet and cold but May June and all of July so far have been well above average temp wise and exceptionally dry.Wonder what the rest of the year will bring??
