One flash of lightening and a couple of distant rumbles here half an hour ago but skies cleared now and still not a drop of rain!!

Have a feeling we're largely going to miss out on showers here in east sussex...hope I'm wrong.

Torrential rain and 1st rumble of thunder.   This storm has literally formed in NW London, in the last 30 mins out of nothing.  Mother nature is amazing !!

I was getting worried as the clouds started rotating over my house, thought we were going to have a tornado direct hit.

Another dull morning but at least it broke up quicker today with a sunny afternoon. A high of 25c.

Wondering if the 2nd half of summer is going to be a washout or if we are just going to get a blip next week. Been an amazing spell of weather. A little bit of rain next week will be nice then a return to fine hot weather

This evening is probably going to be the first and only evening so far this summer when an evening meal outside has been possible - it's always been chilly by 6pm and windy (let's guess the wind direction...)

Am camping this weekend near Wallingford, Oxfordshire, the weather is beautiful. Currently 24C with good sunny spells and a generally light wind from the SSW, though there have been a couple of strangely strong gusts.
