Looks like the South Coast will miss out AGAIN.

Meanwhile areas slightly inland like Horsham and Crawley could see some action!

Same over here in Thurrock, as the Met Office Yellow warning for thunderstorm and heavy showers misses our area by 15 miles.

Oh well...another grey, grotty cack-fest of a day...17.8C. I really do with that that pesky NE wind would finally do one!

Yes, next week looking much more hit and miss now. As much as there is a need for rain, I would take that scenario over the vile washout charts being shown last night.

Lovely here now, with this mornings cloud having largely melted away. 23C and a light wind from the E.

It seems that the Triangle of Doom is really living up to its name, today?

Nice sunny start can see good type of cloud for convection to start up around, not expecting much here though.

Lovely day here again in West Sussex, currently 25.3c in the garden and still slowly going up.

Could do with some rain really as has been couple of months now I think since we last had any, I'm not looking forward to my water bill as I've been watering my back garden lawn every few days which is 120 foot long so takes a fair bit of water, plus I recently got a above ground pool for the kids to play in, it holds 10,000 litres of water and took 11 hours to fill up with the hose on flat out over night.

I am pretty sure it was also late May but was it 2016 or 2017?

Once again showers missing the region after what I looked at this morning and last night I'm very suprised to see the action so far west.. Another balls up, unless nocturnal cooling can aid something I don't think we will see much rain this side of the weekend.. We are fast approaching 50 days of no rain now.. That's crazy in terms of England lol!

They are incredibly slow moving and seem to build somewhat in situ. I too am hoping they make their rather glacial journey here at some point to give us a bit of a soaking and perhaps some thunder and lightning if we get lucky. Not sure the skies outside are looking quite right for it now after an optimistic morning of hot sunny spells and some towers getting started.

Drove through some rain around Liphook. Arrived in Portsmouth and heading to a cloudless isle of Wight

Yes I was hoping for a bit of a deluge today , still time I guess . Looks like the shower nearest to us is dissipating somewhat at the moment , still I’m sure as soon as the kids go on holiday the rain will fall .

Low cloud finally gave in around 1pm, since then blue skies with temps recovering nicely into the low to mid 20s. Chance of rain, nil. Maybe next week but really not holding my breath for anything significant.
