Heathrow at a scorching 28c even hotter tomorrow, lovely in the shade with the breeze though

Typical really, away from home and typically the warmest day of the week occurs. Back home tomorrow briefly before heading out to Hunstanton which will not be experiencing an onshore breeze tomorrow.

Still it has reached 25c down here with clear skies and a pleasant breeze.

Temp here has fallen back to 24.2 after reaching 24.8 a wee while back. Still a tad warmer than expected, however - the easterly breeze is quite fresh.

Spare a thought for us baking in flats, no open doors, no BBQs, no paddling pool to put your feet in,  no dining al fresco, permanently 27.c indoors, taking a drink outside requires shoes, keys, two fire doors, 3 flights of stairs, crossing a car park until you reach a few metres of grass by a 3 lane A-road Sigh. You would not believe how hot the A road and the car park make the local area and how abysmal the air quality and pollen is on a day like today.

Still...we've just sold our dingy flat to an investor who is renting it back to us until we find a nice HOUSE to rent!!! -

You should see our outdoor shopping list already...weather station, sun loungers, swingseat, BBQ, smoker, birdbath, rotary washing line...never in the history of the world has anyone been as excited as me about buying a rotary washing line.

I love this weather but it's not pleasant when you have lots of physical things to do. I'm ready for a rip-roaring storm now...but I'm not in the warning area, sob.

A sunny and warm start in Peterborough. Temperatures still forecast to exceed 80f away from the coast with the chance of 32c being hit somewhere if cloud isn't too extensive.

Just the chance of a shower or thunderstorm, most likely towards Hampshire.

It’s very muggy here on the south coast, already registering 27C at Shoreham Airport. Hot!

30c now at Heathrow phoar.. Reckon we will get to 32c 

The cloud from that front to south just keeps getting burnt back and thinning out that was one of the things that could have stopped us reaching 30c today..

Driven off the allotment by midday...but we will be having new potatoes, lettuce, spring onions, radish, red onion, baby carrot, pea, nasturtium flower and basil salad!!!!!

Oh did I mention raspberry cheesecake with strawberry vodka?

Meto say 30% chance of a shower at 6pm?

Well big difference here, still nice and warm, but with visible instability aloft, and very humid, makes it feel much hotter than it has been, when n reality, it's just a few degrees warmer out.

Temp only 25 here.

Similar here, H: no cloud but the temp is down on yesterday's and the wind is howling. Although the extra humidity is making it feel like a hothouse!

25c in Hawkinge and breezy. Warmer feel to the wind though and humid.

The BBC has heavy showers around the Sussex coast for early evening, is 28c in shoreham

just nudged 30c here in North Surrey for the first time this year and the extra humidity is noticeable and its quite cloudy with haze and cirrus. Shows you don't need clear skies for the highest temps. I imagine tonight could be quite warm compared to recent ones ! Having air conditioning at home is the best  even if you only use it a couple of weeks a year it improves quality of life so much in these hot spells.
